Raising a Smile for Smile Train

Breathe Holistic Therapies latest fundraising event was held in November. We worked to raise money for Smile Train, a charity working to operate on children with cleft lips and palates in the poorest countries in the world. Smile Train can give children not only their smiles but a real chance of a better life.

At Breathe Holistic therapy we held a fundraising weekend and the local primary school also helped by selling charity wrist bands. We aim to raise enough for one operation, so its smiles all round!

A SELFLESS Kidderminster youngster has been raising money for children with cleft lips.

Eight-year-old Jacob Carthew sold wristbands to his friends and teachers for the Smile Train charity, which provides cleft palate surgery for youngsters.

The year four St Catherine’s CE Primary School pupil raised £25 for the charity.

Headteacher Sarah Power said: “It is lovely that Jacob has taken the initiative like this and we were glad to support him.”
